Vicksburg Makers Market + Secret Garden
The Historic Makers Hall has been lovingly restored by building owner and third generation Main Street Businesswoman, Julie Merrill at 202 South Main Street over the last 20 years. Executive Director and Curator, Audrey Seilheimer fell in love with the space which opens to a secret garden courtyard and is ideal for small, local gatherings and exhibits. In Vicksburg, local makers and artisans are working to design and curate a space for local goods, art, vintage wares, collectibles and community support of small businesses and makers!
We encourage creative and entrepreneurial people to create in Vicksburg, Michigan and within our region. Vicksburg Makers Market is designed to support and help provide space to grow local businesses and encourage makers and folk artisans in Southwest Michigan!
Our mission is to help local makers, collectors and innovators give life to their ideas by establishing and growing a successful small business space and creative goods and experiences right in our community. We want to encourage arts and artisans, crafters, makers, home based businesses and service providers to connect to more people interested in their work!
To foster this creative economy, we strive to include in our market items that are original, handmade, unique, vintage, repurposed, designed or produced locally or which have a unique connection to our local community or nostalgic vibes from days of old.
You can learn more about the history of our building which once housed the local newspaper offices as well as the village jail, police, fire and village offices by visiting the Vicksburg Historical Society and Depot.
