We encourage creative and entrepreneurial people to create in Vicksburg, Michigan and within our region. Vicksburg Makers Market is designed to support and grow local businesses, makers and folk artisans in Southwest Michigan!
Our mission is to help local makers, collectors and innovators give life to their ideas by establishing and growing a successful small business culture and supporting space for creative products right in our community. We want to encourage arts and artisans, crafters, makers, home-based businesses and service providers to connect to more people interested in their work! YOU make your business grow! We are here for you.
To foster a creative economy, we strive to include in our market items that are original, handmade, unique, vintage, repurposed, designed or produced locally or which have a unique connection to our local community and general nostalgia for days of old. All items displayed or for sale in the Market Hall for Vicksburg Makers Market must be approved by the Market staff and may be removed at the discretion of the market Curator.
By agreeing to our terms and conditions, you commit to sell products and offerings that fall under this criteria. Anything not in compliance with these efforts, delightful as they may be, will not be accepted to our Makers Hall or will be pulled from the market. If we have questions regarding the nature of your products, we will email you to clarify before disqualifying you from the Makers Market and we appreiate your understanding. Our market is internally juried to ensure our vendors are have synergy with our vintage vibe. We sure hope that’s you!
If you aren’t chosen for the initial booth space in Market Hall, don’t get sore with us. Your stuff is probably awesome, but sometimes we have to balance out the items in the market in a certain mix and your products didn’t fit this time. You will still be offered future opportunities to sell at special event pop-ups. Stay on our email list and stay connected!
Advertising
You may be spotlighted on websites, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or TikTok or by our friend’s accounts. We’ll pull from the photos you submit with your application or from your public social feeds with permission, so make sure to send us links to images you’re proud to share! We will also offer you complementary photography and video coverage on partner photography platform, @vicksburgvibes as you participate as a vendor at Vicksburg Makers Market.
You may cross promote our content marketing to share your market your participation and spread the word of #VicksburgMakersMarket and #VicksburgVibes.
We encourage vendors to advertise through their own websites, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok and other media in order to support your traffic and sales in Vicksburg.
Host a Class in Makers Hall

Classes and workshop rentals are typically $25 for 3 hours in Makers Hall.
Registration for classes in Makers Hall are required to be registered via Vicksburg Makers Market link.
Ticketed events should be no more than $20-$30 per person for supplies and to cover costs. Our goal is to make programs accessible to our community at large
Marketing of your event and inclusion on our Market calendar is included!
Fees
Vendor Booth Fee:
If accepted into the market, you will pay monthly rent (no additional percentage fee for sales.)
Two booths are allowed when available at double the fee. We make it simple.
Vendor fees are collected to pay for the up-front costs of building overhead, marketing and utilities including restroom, special event production, maintenance, and staffing. Electricity is included in booth fee.
Booth fees for you participate:BOOTH/RENTAL SPACE IN MARKET OPTIONS:
6’ booth ($150/month - includes select participation in special event nights which are optional.)
4’ booth ($100/month - includes select participation in special event nights which are optional.)
Portion of Shelf Top only display $25/monthly
Wall only display/Shelf Kiosk $50/monthly
There are no additional commissions taken from your booth. You retain 100% of your product sales.
You may pay rent via Square link or inside of 202 S. Main St in Makers Hall by the first of every month per your vendor contract. Late payments are subject to a $25 late fee and or subject to dismissal from the Market.
You are paid for any merchandise sales directly by customers via your Venmo or Sales may be accepted via Market account and reimbursed less 3-4% Square fee. There is a common check out counter for all customers. Next to your product you should display your QR code for direct payments by those shoppers who choose to pay you that way, with your vendor business info visable. We confirm their transaction visually upon purchase for digital sales. All Sales Tax, insurance, licensures and labeling and applicable processing fees are the sole responsibility of the vendor as is stated in the vendor contract. A contract is signed by once you are chosen for a booth space after filing out and applying via Vendor Application!
Vendor Details
Once you are notified that you have been selected for a rental booth at the Market Hall, we will assign you a vendor number once your contract is turned in and deposit paid (to cover first month’s rent total + deposit equally one month which is returned upon exit of the market to ensure conditions of booth/shelves are in like condition, etc.) We ask that all items you bring in to Makers Hall (202 S. Main) be labeled with your vendor ID number and your business name along with the price. We cannot sell items missing any of this information.
Customers may buy directly from you via cashless app (via QR Code/ your Venmo!) You provide your own signage.
We encourage you to set up your Venmo prior to applying for Vicksburg Makers Market, but we can assist you if this Market system is new to you. It is 100% the sole responsibility of the vendor and your business to process, track and receive all payments and or refunds, returns and related policies and to accept all risk or liability for your business and your products. It’s your business!
We provide the support!
The market is not responsible for lost, broken, stolen or damaged property. You retain full responsibility as to insurance and liability of any product or item places in Vicksburg Makers Market spaces.
We expect full adherence to all rules of the property owner and organizers. The contract agreement to sell or display in the Market is subject to termination by the Vicksburg Makers Market or property owner. You are required to give 30 day notice before vacating your lease agreement to occupy and use a booth or shelf at the Market.
Vendors may quickly load and unload at the front of the building. Public parking is available on the street and behind the building in the Makers Market lot adjacent to the Secret Garden Courtyard entrance.
No building alterations (such as nails, screws, fasteners in walls,) without prior written consent. Rental Clients, Vendor tenants and Workshop/Class Hosts are liable for costs to repair damage caused by unauthorized alterations of rental space.

Scholarships and Accessing Free Space with Marketing Support
Local Fine Arts/ Artisan Vendor Scholarship
Fine Art vendors or practicians who do not have the resources to apply as a full time booth vendor may apply as a Fine Arts Scholar and have their fee waived for wall space and extra display space as it becomes available. We will maintain an ongoing scholarship list. Please make sure to specify “Artisan Scholarship” in the application for scholarship consideration.
Young Entrepreneur Scholarship
If you are under the age of 18 and would like to participate, you are eligible for a waiver of your booth fees with a signed parent or guardian approval. Please make sure to specify “Young Entrepreneur” in the application for scholarship consideration.
